Value:
Indicates whether or not your keyword is contained in the first 25 words of the
page body.
Background:
The first and last twenty-five words of a page typically point to the subject (or
theme) of a page. Because of this, search engines often give a bonus to
keywords that occur in these areas.
Whenever a meta description is not present, search engines typically use the beginning
of a page as the preview that users see in search engine listings. If you choose
to not have a meta descripton (not recommended), having a strong opening is important
to maximize your page's click-through-rate (CTR).
Recommendation:
While not always possible, it is recommended that you try to incorporate your target
keyword(s) into the first twenty-five words of the page.
Tip #1:
'Keywords in Beginning' is a concept that also relates to
keyword prominence.
